Dr. Jacques MoraMarco Named Dean of Emperor's College
Emperor's College in Santa Monica, Calif., announces the appointment of Dr. Jacques MoraMarco, OMD, LAc, as academic dean. Dr. MoraMarco was one of the first Westerners to become a board-certified acupuncturist, sitting for the first California acupuncture boards in 1977. He studied at the Institute of Oriental Medical Studies, completed postgraduate work at Ecole Europeene d'Acupuncture in Paris and received a doctorate in Oriental medicine at California Acupuncture College.
Dr. MoraMarco previously served as senior faculty and dean at California Acupuncture College, was visiting professor at Samra University in Los Angeles, and a member of the academic and clinical faculty at Emperor's College.
He ran a successful private practice in Palm Springs, Calif., for more than 25 years and was adjunct faculty at College of the Desert. Dr. MoraMarco is the author of two books, The Complete Ginseng Handbook and The Way of Walking, and the cofounder of the International Sun Tai Chi Association.
