The most important relationship I seek to nurture in the treatment room is the one a patient has with their own body. We live in a culture that teaches us to override pain, defer to outside authority, and push through discomfort. Patients often arrive hoping I can “fix” them, but the truth is, we can’t do the work for them. We can offer guidance, insight and support, but healing requires their full participation.
Rory Crouse, LAc
Rory Crouse is an acupuncturist practicing in Long Island, N.Y. He has a background in business, earned his master's degree in traditional Chinese medicine,√Ǭ† and is currently working on his doctorate of Chinese medicine. He and his wife founded M & R acupuncture, a Long Island-based wellness clinic, and have loved being a part of their friendly local community. Rory treats a variety of ailments in his practice, but specializes in pain relief, treating sciatica and chronic pain. He also has a passion for Chinese herbology. Rory believes that balance – in lifestyle, activity and perspective – is the key to health and well-being.
