How Acupuncture Can Change the World
Acupuncturists without Borders is devoted to bringing compassionate and effective recovery to underserved communities affected by natural disaster, war, and conflict around the world. Intervention in the cycle of trauma helps to build peaceful, stable global communities through deep healing in community settings. In September, 2005, AWB sprung into action to bring rotating teams of acupuncturists from around the United States to the New Orleans area to do acupuncture relief for those suffering from the devastating effects of Hurricanes Rita and Katrina. The program expanded enormously and AWB has provided over 4000 treatments in many locations. Diana Fried, Executive Director of AWB, will discuss the work in New Orleans, and future plans for AWB. A PowerPoint presentation will be shown.
Mayway Donation to Acupuncturists without Borders Pledge Drive!

This decision marks a significant victory for health care providers and advocates who have long championed acupuncture as a vital component of comprehensive medical care.
