Acupuncture Today Staff

Yo San University in Los Angeles, Calif., has announced it will offer two unique dual-degree programs in affiliation with Zhejiang Chinese Medical University (ZCMU) in Hangzhou, China: a joint master’s degree program in traditional Chinese medicine and a joint PhD / DAOM program in TCM.

“Through immersive study and clinical training across two continents, students will benefit from world-class instruction, international mentorship, and rich cultural exchange,” touted Yo San in a press release announcing the dual-degree programs.

The master’s program allows students to earn two master’s degrees – one from Yo San, the other from Zhejiang, with hand-on clinical training at both universities and a study-abroad component. The doctoral program allows students to earn two doctorates – a Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (DAOM) from Yo San and a PhD from ZCMU. The doctoral program includes three intensive study visits to Hangzhou, including a final PhD dissertation (in English).
