Felice Dunas, PhD

An international lecturer and educator, Dr. Felice Dunas was among the first non-Asian acupuncturists in the United States. Having worked in her field since 1974, she has developed an extensive private practice in the Los Angeles area, utilizing both Western and Oriental medical techniques. She recently was named the "Acupuncturist of the Year" by the American Association of Oriental Medicine for her clinical and teaching skills. She also serves as a consultant to businesses and hospitals interested in lowering health care costs through acupuncture and alternative medicine.

Dr. Dunas was born in Los Angeles. Showing an interest in her field at an early age, she served a three-year apprenticeship in San Francisco with Japanese and Korean acupuncturists before earning a bachelor's degree in sociology/international health care from UCLA. She completed her doctorate degree in clinical Chinese medicine and pharmacology in 1988. She also is the author of a best-selling book, Passion Play: Ancient Secrets for a Lifetime of Health and Happiness Through Sensational Sex, which has been published in five languages.
